My therapeutic style is direct, collaborative, and solution-focused. I aim to create a respectful and structured environment where clients feel heard and supported. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based strategies, tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs.
I provide short-term therapy for immediate concerns and longer-term treatment for deeper work related to self-awareness, relationship dynamics, and personal growth. Sessions are goal-oriented and practical, with clear strategies for progress. Clients can expect honest feedback, cultural sensitivity, and a focus on building lasting tools for resilience and well-being.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In a typical session, we begin by reviewing your current concerns and identifying progress toward your goals. Sessions are structured and focused, blending supportive dialogue with evidence-based strategies to create a comprehensive approach. I incorporate teaching DBT skills, such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, tailored to your specific needs and goals.
For new clients, the initial session includes a comprehensive intake to gather clinical, educational, and family history, which helps guide treatment planning. My approach is goal-oriented, culturally responsive, and focused on promoting insight, resilience, and meaningful change through talk therapy and skill-building.
