Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Brenda! Everyone is faced with crossroads in their lifetime, and I'm here to guide you each step of the way. I aim to establish the best therapeutic relationship to meet your needs. I believe the most effective counseling relationship is a partnership with a client who is ready to do the work. Together, we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the victories that come with personal growth and healing. In my 21 years of public education, I have had the privilege of working as a school counselor and a special education teacher. I completed my master's degree in Counseling in 2009 at Sam Houston State University. My passion for helping others led me to complete 3000 clinical hours, earning my Licensed Professional Counselor certification in 2010. This journey has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. I have always been drawn toward the underserved populations in our communities, guiding, counseling, and assisting those in need. My specialties include behavioral support for children, learning disabilities, life transitions, anger management, anxiety, autism spectrum support, depression, grief, and trauma. Whether you're dealing with stress, navigating a significant life change, or seeking support for a developmental disability, I'm here to help. When we work together, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to empower you to make positive changes and achieve your personal goals. Please note that very few in-person sessions are available and are currently limited to Saturdays. If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I would be honored to work with you. Let's embark on this path together and find the best way forward for you.
