Getting to know Brenda Demouchet

I believe therapy should be a collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free experience. My approach is solution-focused and tailored to each client’s unique needs, helping you identify practical strategies that create meaningful change in your daily life. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, and Family Systems Therapy to help you develop healthier coping skills, improve relationships, and build confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, or life transitions, we’ll work together to create realistic goals and measurable progress at a pace that feels right for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and identifying what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we’ll develop individualized treatment goals based on your strengths, needs, and priorities. As therapy progresses, we’ll regularly evaluate your progress, practice practical coping strategies, and adjust our approach as your needs evolve. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard, challenged, and empowered to make lasting, positive changes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. During our first session, we’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your personal history, identify your strengths, and establish meaningful treatment goals together. From there, sessions focus on developing practical coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and addressing patterns that may be preventing you from reaching your goals. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Family Systems Therapy, tailoring treatment to meet your individual needs while supporting measurable, lasting progress.
