Getting to know Brenda Hardin

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 19 years of experience collaborating with clients of all ages in individual, family, and group settings. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University. I believe it takes courage to seek help and take the first steps toward change in pursuing and fulfilling a happy life. I believe everyone has the capacity for change but sometimes needs additional support to help move in the direction they desire for their lives. I view therapy as a safe and sacred space for processing life experiences, emotions, thoughts, and trauma in order to achieve one’s goals and necessary growth. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with clients to understand their thought processes, address barriers to wellness, and identify ways in which they can achieve their goals. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives; however, sometimes we need an outside perspective to help reframe our thinking. I’m here to work with you to increase self-awareness and empower you to approach life in a way that enhances health and well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is individualized, client centered, and strength-based, as I believe clients are the experts of their lives and determine the direction of the therapeutic process. I believe in focusing on the strengths of each person and building from there. My goal is to help people feel empowered to live a happier and more fulfilling life by working through their challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Makes you think about things in a different light. Very Authentic and works to help you move forward to work on what you can change and let go or move past what you cannot.
I chose Ms Brenda based on her profile stating she is a solution seeker. She has been amazing. She is a great listener that has helped me ease my anxiety and over thinking, with tools and handouts I use often in my day to day life.
I have really enjoyed getting to know Brenda through our sessions together. She is always a great listener, patient, and takes notes on what I say to refer back to / add on to and discuss with me later to keep me on track. She is very nice and pleasant, I would highly recommend her.
