Hello, I'm Brenda. I graduated from Bellevue University with a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My passion lies in providing mental health therapy for adults, and I bring a wealth of experience working with families and individuals across various settings, from acute care to partial hospitalization programs. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with active duty servicemembers and their families, which has deepened my understanding and respect for the unique challenges they face. My approach to therapy is highly individualized. I believe that each person is unique, and therefore, I tailor my counseling services to meet the specific needs of each client. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to help clients navigate through challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, relational conflicts, conflict resolution, self-development, and major life changes. My experience working with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), and PTSD in a hospital setting has equipped me with the tools necessary to assist those in need of specialized care. Having been born in Asia, raised in Australia, and now living in America, I have a deep appreciation for multicultural and diversity issues. My life experiences have given me a unique perspective and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. When I'm not working, I enjoy immersing myself in a good book, listening to thought-provoking podcasts, taking peaceful nature walks, and watching documentaries.
