Getting to know Brenda Velissaris

Therapy is a profound and life-changing experience. As your therapist, I support, educate, and teach the skills necessary for healing and growth. While I have been providing individual counseling for anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, OCD, and PTSD/Trauma for over 20 years, I am not an expert in your life. You are. My goal is to work with you through your therapy experience. I am a certified EMDR therapist and am specialty trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, and exposure/response therapy. My approach is direct yet humous, accountable yet compassionate. I obtained a master's degree in mental health counseling and am currently a 3rd-year doctoral student in Clinical psychology. I have been in private practice intermittently over the last 15 years. Session availability is offered Monday -Saturday, with evening availability. I look forward to working with you.
