Hello, I'm Brenna. Young adulthood can be a time of extreme discomfort as you navigate changes to your family relationships, peer and romantic relationships, and, most importantly, the relationship with yourself. When you pair these changes with a history of trauma, it can feel like you are living outside of yourself looking in. My goal is to help you become present in your life through various therapeutic techniques to process trauma and reduce its influence on your relationships, especially with the person you see in the mirror. I graduated from Troy University in 2021 with a Master of Social Work (MSW). Prior to working in private practice, I worked with children and adolescents diagnosed with PTSD in community-based settings. Now, I specialize in working with older teenagers and young adults experiencing trauma symptoms and anxiety. My experience has equipped me with the skills to support clients dealing with anxiety, life transitions, PTSD, stress, and trauma. In our sessions, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Tools to help you process traumatic experiences and implement strategies to become more present and in control of your life. I emphasize client empowerment and will always follow your lead in establishing treatment goals. It's important to me that you feel heard and understood, and that our work together is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with the latest therapeutic techniques to provide the best care for my clients. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives and am dedicated to supporting you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery. If you're ready to take the next step towards a more present and empowered life, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to navigate the challenges and embrace the changes ahead.
