I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and hold a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina Central University. My approach to therapy involves collaborating with those I serve to decrease their distress and support their overall health. My approach to treatment requires teamwork and authenticity to solve problems. My approach I utilize an interpersonal approach that emphasizes our sense of connection with ourselves and each other. In session, I highlight unhelpful thinking patterns and emotional wounds that hinder finding solutions. I also focus on distinct aspects of clients' identities and how these have shaped their lived experiences and distress. My focus I have much experience supporting working-class clients and communities. I also support teenagers, culturally diverse persons, young adults, aging adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. My communication style My role as a clinician is to support clients in rediscovering and redefining their power to address their issues. I prefer soft, direct communication to build our relationship. My journey to therapy At a young age, I recognized how important mental health and our unique experiences are to living a healthy life. Since then, I have been on a journey to bridge connections and communities through clinical practice. My goal as a therapist is to help others become the fullest version of themselves.
