“Bria is amazing, I'm so happy I found her. Working with her has been a truly grounding and transformative experience. She brings so much warmth and wisdom into every session, creating a space where I feel both deeply supported and gently challenged to grow. What stands out most is her collaborative approach — I never feel talked at, but instead feel like we are working together to understand what’s happening and find meaningful ways forward. She has a way of helping me make sense of my thoughts and emotions without judgment. She helps expand my perspective. I wouldn't trade her for anyone else!!”

Getting to know Bria Taylor

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I'm a native New Yorker, mental health professional, and co-founder of Safe Space at the Door, a mental wellness organization launched in 2023 to provide culturally responsive care to marginalized communities. Grounded in a Christian background, I offer compassionate therapy for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, burnout, self-esteem, trauma, postpartum concerns, social anxiety, grief, ADHD, eating disorders, perfectionism, co-dependency, and alcohol use. Through Open Door Family Life Center's non-profit sponsorship and partnerships like Emblem Health, I facilitate community workshops in suicide awareness, parent support, and emotional wellness. My clinical style is collaborative, warm, and person-centered-offering a safe and judgment-free space for you to explore emotions, find clarity, and build the tools needed to manage life's transitions. Therapy is not just about healing-it's about rediscovering your voice, your values, and your potential. Outside of sessions, I enjoy cooking, storytelling, mindfulness, walks in nature, and spending time with my two Yorkies. Your journey matters. Wherever you are, you're not alone-and I'm here to support you in becoming your own inspiration. Client Testimonial: Bria helped me through one of the biggest life transitions I've ever faced. Her insight and support around self-esteem and anxiety were exactly what I needed. She doesn't just listen-she affirms, validates, and equips you with real strategies that make a difference. Her presence is calming, and her dedication to helping you grow is genuine. I leave every session feeling lighter and more capable.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I best serve a wide range of diverse individuals, ranging from 21 and onward. Challenges we tackle include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem, imposter syndrome, and trauma. Through a careful lens, I uniquely tailor treatment interventions to help meet your needs and goals. Individuals seek a non-judgmental, validating, and supportive space to identify triggers and understand how their thoughts and behaviors impact their overall well-being. Client Testimonial: Bria has truly been a light in my healing journey. From the very beginning, she created such a warm, welcoming space that made it easy for me to open up—something I’ve always struggled with. She helped me navigate a really tough period of depression and gave me the tools to manage my day-to-day stress. Her support has helped me feel seen, affirmed, and more in control of my emotions than ever before. Client Testimonial: Working with Bria has been transformative. She meets me where I am with so much compassion and understanding, especially as I’ve been working through trauma and anxiety. Her non-judgmental approach made me feel safe to be vulnerable, and her guidance helped me build stronger boundaries with family, gain confidence, and truly start putting myself first. She creates a space that feels both grounding and empowering.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and practical guidance. I aim to meet clients where they are and help them set realistic, meaningful goals. Together, we work to unpack their challenges, reframe limiting beliefs, and build the tools they need to thrive. My goal is for clients to feel seen, understood, and equipped to navigate life’s complexities with greater confidence and self-assurance.
