The most significant action a person can take to improve their mental health is seeking a professional to help address their challenges. You have taken this important step because you or a loved one are experiencing difficulty in daily life. In many ways, the hardest part is behind you, and now you need to choose a partner for the remainder of this journey toward a balanced, positive outlook and good mental health. I am a licensed therapist practicing in Pennsylvania, with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. I have experience working as a mental health counselor and life coach, supporting clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, career difficulties, OCD, and ADHD. I have also worked with many individuals who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive therapy. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. There can be many reasons you are experiencing stress, anger, anxiety, confusion, or other issues affecting your life. My role is to build a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable exploring the root causes so we can make meaningful progress. This will be a collaboration. Together, we will build a foundation for change that improves your mental health and, ultimately, your life. I look forward to working with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session together you can expect to do most of the talking and I will have many questions for you. During this session we will be identifying the issues that brought you and the background that formed you. Over the next sessions we will begin to explore new ways to address the difficulties in your life and new skills to address those issues. We may unpack past trauma, communication patterns, maladaptive thinking patterns all in an attempt to identify the root cause/s and then begin to build a new foundation of thinking and behaving. Remember this is a partnership, and we will need to work together in order to make progress.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
