Getting to know Brian Fletcher

I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional committed to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful, lasting change. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, recognizing that every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other therapeutic interventions to address anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional challenges. As a Christian counselor, I also offer faith-integrated counseling for clients who desire to incorporate their Christian faith, values, and spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside each client to identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, overcome barriers, and build confidence. Whether you are facing a difficult season, struggling with relationships or emotional well-being, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to meeting you where you are and supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and greater hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you begin working with me, you can expect a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I will work with you—not simply tell you what to do—to identify your goals, understand the challenges you are facing, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. I take a compassionate, person-centered, and strengths-based approach while incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, and other approaches based on your individual needs. As a Christian counselor, I am also able to integrate Christian faith, Scripture, prayer, and spiritual principles into counseling when desired by the client. Faith integration is always approached respectfully and according to your preferences. You can expect me to listen, provide honest and constructive feedback, celebrate your progress, and challenge you when appropriate. Therapy can sometimes be uncomfortable because meaningful growth often requires us to examine thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that may be holding us back. My goal is to help you feel supported while also empowering you to take an active role in your healing and personal growth. Most importantly, you do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin where you are and work together toward where you want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process begins with creating a comfortable, supportive environment where you can share your concerns and feel heard without judgment. During the initial sessions, I focus on learning about your history, current circumstances, strengths, challenges, and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. Together, we identify specific treatment goals and develop a personalized plan based on your needs. Throughout the counseling process, I use evidence-based and practical interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based counseling, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), when appropriate. I regularly check in on your progress and adjust our approach as needed. Sessions may include exploring thoughts and emotions, identifying patterns, developing coping skills, practicing communication and problem-solving strategies, and setting achievable goals between sessions. For clients who desire it, Christian faith and spiritual principles can also be incorporated into the counseling process. My goal is to meet you where you are, provide support and accountability, and help you develop the tools and confidence needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
