Getting to know Brian Lann
For over 25 years, I, Brian F. Lann, MA, LPC have been actively involved in counseling, based out of Columbia, SC. My academic journey started with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Charleston Southern University, which was followed by a Masters of Arts degree from Webster University. My professional credentials including being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Licensed Addictions Counselor in South Carolina.
My practice has been diverse, spanning age groups and settings - from children, adolescents to adults, and environments varying from outpatient centers (county alcohol and drug agencies & county mental health agencies) to intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient contexts. I manage two local private practices - Midlands Center for Addiction Treatment that offers Buprenorphine Medication Assisted Treatment and Premier Care, LLC that focuses on Behavioral Health Disorders. In addition, I am a part-owner of two Buprenorphine Medication Assisted Treatment Programs in Spartanburg, SC.
Presently, my engagement as a therapist with NOCD involves intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. My background also encompasses management roles: Program Director at Crossroads Treatment Center of Asheville and Clinical Supervisor at Carolina Family Services, a non-profit intensive family services agency in South Carolina. Responsibilities included overseeing patient census, staff management, medication inventory, clinic compliance and more.
My clinical exposure extends to various diagnoses including ADHD, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Thought Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders. Since 2008, I have offered my expertise in a private practice setting, counseling children, adolescents, adults and families.
