Education Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Antioch University - 3/02 Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, Arizona State-5/91 Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, California 6/29/07 Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Oregon 11/08 Services Offered Individual, Groups, Couples, LGBT issues. Theoretical Orientation Solution focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Imago, Narrative/Post Modern, Family Systems Therapy Modalities. I believe our personal struggles, relationship issues, stress, addictions, anger, trauma, grief, creative blocks, or navigating through life's transitions, can be a catalyst for growth. I work with clients to utilize the issue that has brought them to therapy as an opportunity for introspection and ultimately re-defining a more meaningful existence. I build a collaborative therapeutic relationship where the client has a non-judgmental space to be witnessed and access healing through their own unique resources, insights, and skills. My approach includes helping clients to focus on what works and highlighting their core strengths which have been overshadowed in their current struggle in order to unleash creative possibilities for overcoming obstacles and re-authoring their lives. My approach is open-minded, solution-focused, and "out-of-the box thinking". I believe in challenging negative self-stories and honoring the uniqueness of each client, therefore I incorporate a variety of therapeutic theories including narrative, existential, cognitive behavioral, and family systems, with the goal of meeting the client where they are as a necessary ingredient for growth to occur. I also believe that self-expression and creative outlets are keys to personal healing. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I utilize a variety of art and creative-expression therapy modalities as a means to support the client's unique path to their preferred reality.
