“Dr Weisner has been my lifeline since I started seeing her 5 years ago. Her well thought out words and encouragement have been a blessing in my life. I am never guided or pressured to go one way or the other in her feedback. She has given me the tools to make the best decisions for myself. It may take me the long road of talking it through to get there, but she is right there along the way ”

Getting to know Dr. Briana Weisner

Starting therapy and finding the right therapist can feel like a daunting task. I congratulate you on taking the first step and am glad you are here! I am particularly passionate about helping adults overcome anxiety disorders, OCD, and perfectionism and have taken time to engage in extra training to become a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have also completed intensive training through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute to further my specialty in treating OCD using ERP. Although this is where my expertise lies, I am also passionate about and have extensive experience treating issues related to body image dissatisfaction, eating disorders, low self-esteem, identity development, life transition difficulties, depression, and relationship and interpersonal concerns. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed a pre-doctoral internship at Ohio University. Additionally, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Discover Psychological Services, LLC, which has further enriched my clinical skills and approach.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal as your therapist is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and worthy, while also providing effective tools for you to utilize outside of therapy. A quick peek into what sessions with me involve: an unbiased, nonjudgmental place to express yourself, building specific coping skills to deal with stressors, psychoeducation, identifying and restructuring negative thinking styles, changing maladaptive behaviors, learning assertiveness skills, identifying and working towards important values in your life, building insight into unhelpful cyclical patterns, increasing self-esteem and confidence, and recognizing your own strengths.

I have been meeting with Dr. Weisner for several years now and words cannot express how much she has helped me with my mental health and navigating complex scenarios. I highly recommend her services, she's absolutely fantastic!
Dr. Weisner has been my therapist for a few years, and I’m in a completely different place in my life than where I was when I started, with much thanks to her guidance. She is incredible at truly digging into the deep rooted feelings that we all tend to bypass so easily as well as reframing things in a way that make things so much more clear. I was on a ‘self discovery’ journey that I feel many women go through in their mid 30s, and she’s been amazing at helping me navigating the challenges and patient when she knows I’m not ready for something but also helps to work up to it in a way that feels less intimidating. I’m so happy that we connected and she’s been able to help guide me through the parts of life I find most challenging to be the best version of myself I can be.
“I’ve been working with Briana Weisner for five years, and I can’t recommend her enough. She has guided me through the transition into adulthood while helping me navigate my past with compassion and insight. Briana is an incredible listener who knows exactly when to step in and gently steer the conversation in a way that’s helpful and productive—always without judgment, only with thoughtful guidance. She has helped me reframe negative thoughts and consistently reminds me to be mindful of self-talk, even when I don’t realize I’m being hard on myself. I’m truly grateful for her support and expertise!
Dr. Weisner is an outstanding therapist and I’m so thankful to have found her. I’ve been seeing her for over 2 years and I can confidently say she has helped me and my personal growth in therapy immensely. She has an excellent perspective and communicates so well - I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist. I am so thankful to have found her and can’t say enough about how much I appreciate Dr. Weisner!
If you struggle with anxiety in any way, shape, or form, I can't imagine that there's anyone better than Dr. Weisner for helping you to learn how to mitigate the impact of it in your day-to-day life and to develop alternative ways of thinking which aren't dictated by it. Compared to a past therapist I saw (who was excellent in many areas), Dr. Weisner is radically different in her approach to treating anxiety and compulsive behaviors, preferring to tackle them head-on by challenging my unhealthy thought patterns at a manageable pace and by encouraging deep retrospection on what I interpret them to mean about me. Dr. Weisner has also been incredibly helpful in working through the various struggles of life as well. In closing, I can't recommend her enough, and I highly suggest that you schedule an appointment with her, especially if you struggle with anxiety-related disorders.
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Weisner. I have been seeing her for over 5 years, and she has truly helped me through some of the most important transitions and situations in my life. She is incredibly kind hearted and has a way of making you feel so seen and comfortable. This was my first true talk therapy experience, and I feel so grateful that I found someone that I could connect with right away. Not only does she listen, but she provides you with sound advice and strategies to use outside of sessions. She is just the best!
I've been seeing Dr. Weisner for about two years, and she has been instrumental in my journey towards healing. As someone who had struggled to find the right fit in the past, I finally feel like I can make progress due to her guidance. She maintains a key balance of empathy and kindness, while also maintaining a realistic and grounded approach. Since working with Dr. Weisner, I've gained insights into myself and my life, shifting my perspective significantly and identifying areas to keep working on in order to better manage my mental health challenges. I'm deeply grateful for her and would highly recommend Dr. Weisner to anyone seeking to find balance in their daily lives and redefine their relationship with themselves.
Dr. Weisner is excellent. I’ve been her patient for several years, and she has helped me through significant life changes, and helped me improve my relationships with those around me. She consistently provides encouragement and has shared a few “one liners” that I continue to reference as they help me effectively reframe. Highly recommend working with her.
