Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Briana Yedalian, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 137449) with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. It is essential that clients receive personalized suggestions based on their unique needs. This is a collaborative relationship built on honesty, authenticity, and open-mindedness. As a modern clinician, my approach is eclectic. I use a variety of tools and orientations that work for you, not the other way around. My approach Some of these approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), client-centered focus, and a strength-based model. I assist with communication skills, assertiveness training, developing healthy coping strategies, creating healthy boundaries, and highlighting strengths to help clients gain insight. My focus I am most comfortable treating young adults (20+) and adults on an individual basis. The areas I typically work with include anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, women’s issues and challenges, caregiver fatigue and support, intergenerational trauma, workplace trauma, setting boundaries, communication and assertiveness skills, relationship stress (personal, professional, and interpersonal), academic stress, work stress, and women’s empowerment. My communication style Working with a therapist can feel scary, which is why my initial goal is to create a safe, comfortable space focused on building relationships with clients. In addition to providing a safe holding environment, my style is super authentic; I bring warmth, humor, even pop culture references, and you’ll likely see my dog Lola pop in the background at times. My journey to therapy Setting goals with clients is done collaboratively; it is based on their expectations and needs in therapy along with their general life goals.
