Bridget Bicek, LPC

Psychotherapist
125 Windor Dr, Ste 113, Oak Brook, IL
Hi, my name is Bridget and I’m so excited to welcome you to this space. Starting therapy is a big leap of faith. I believe some of the most courageous people are those who admit they no longer can manage life alone and reach out for a helping hand. Fortunately, seeking help during a time of need is one of the first steps towards healing and wholeness. Suffering is a vulnerable and sacred space, therefore I receive each of my client’s stories with an immense amount of reverence, warmth, and empathy. My presence and approach are informed by my training in Relational Psychoanalysis with concentrations in Attachment Theory and Trauma Informed Care. This means I believe in the transformative power of a relationship that is consistent, responsive, engaged, and attuned to your unique feelings, needs, and experiences. I will also provide resources based in neuroscience and the brain and body connection that will put language and validation to the experience of being you. I apply my relational and embodied approach with individuals facing anxiety, depression, childhood and complex trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction in their families and friendships, and OCD. I also utilize a combined approach of non-directive play therapy and CBT interventions when treating separation anxiety, attachment wounds, and ADHD in children, while empowering their families with neuroscience and attachment based research and resources. By welcoming all parts of yourself into a supportive, accepting, and consistent relationship, I believe you will learn how to embrace the lived blessing of being you. I look forward to starting this journey with you!
