Psychotherapist
HI
Aloha! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in systemically focused treatment with individuals, couples, and families. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kean University. With strong counseling skills and an instinctive grasp of interpersonal and familial dynamics, I help my clients gain a deeper understanding of their behaviors and make meaningful progress toward their therapeutic goals. My approach to therapy begins by providing clients with a secure and supportive environment where they can explore their difficulties without fear of judgment. The theoretical methods I use depend on the clients I work with and their presenting issues. I typically draw from Experiential and Humanistic approaches, and when working with couples, I often incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy. I primarily work with couples and individuals who are motivated to learn more about their behaviors and committed to their healing journey. I have experience supporting clients dealing with grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, and challenges related to setting healthy boundaries. Working with me, you will feel as though you are finally in a safe space to express your true self. I will always welcome you with a smile, offer my full attention throughout our sessions, and provide you with unconditional positive regard. My interest in psychology and mental health has been lifelong. Through my own journey of healing from childhood and adulthood traumas, I discovered an uncanny ability to discern nuances in people and relationships, which enables me to guide clients toward their own healing. When setting goals, I work collaboratively with clients to identify the most critical issue they wish to address and then create clear, personalized therapeutic goals to support their growth.
