Getting to know Bridget Moodie

Hi there! My name is Bridget, I have been a therapist for 8 years and in private practice for 4 years. Originally from Philadelphia, I moved to Denver to enjoy urban life with easy access to mountain life. I became a therapist because of my own experience in therapy. I provide therapy for people with anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or ADHD. Life with these diagnoses can be challenging and you do not have to go through it alone. You deserve a safe place to process and learn which ways of coping are best for you. I love to work with queer (LQBTQ+) folks to identify and process how mental health and identity overlap and interconnect. I became an ADHD certified clinical services provider to help clients understand ADHD and feel more in control of their lives. Learning about ADHD, internalized stigma, and how ADHD impacts other aspects of mental health and identity, has personally changed my life as a person with ADHD.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am here to work in partnership with you, together we will improve your well-being and manage symptoms. I use person-centered therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create individualized treatment for each client. We will process present and past life events while learning coping skills. Each person has the potential to build their own wellness & meet personal goals. It is my belief that each person is capable of growth, self-love, & healing. My goal will be to help you take ownership of your treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once we connect through Zoc Doc, I will reach out to you directly to answer questions and send you paperwork to complete. I do have a 48 hour cancellation/no show policy. Your first session will be an intake which takes at least one hour. I recommend having a half hour buffer so you do not feel rushed and can take time to yourself afterwards.

Bridget is absolutely incredible! She is kind, patient, and so knowledgeable. I truly look forward to my visits with Bridget and know I can be completely open with her about anything I am going through. She has a variety of tools and tactics she uses to help you understand yourself and how to best process things. Bridget gave me the tools and support I needed to leave an abusive relationship and even helped support me through the aftermath which involved me attending court. She eveb took extra time to write a letter of support to submit in court and offered me extra sessions to cope with this experience.
