You’re exhausted from feeling like you’re constantly letting people down. Even searching for a therapist brings up guilt, like you’re being selfish for needing help. You try to be a loving and dependable partner, but your relationship feels like it’s hanging by a thread. You lose track of time, start things with good intentions, only to get distracted or overwhelmed. You might have ADHD, or suspect you do. You’ve been called lazy or too sensitive, and small rejections can feel devastating. You’ve had to hold it together for other people your whole life, while inside, you feel scattered and deeply alone. You want to stop second-guessing yourself and learn to trust your decisions. You want relationships that support you instead of draining you. You're ready for a life that feels manageable, fulfilling, and true to who you are. If you're tired of carrying it all alone, I'm here to help you untangle the overwhelm and build a life where you can truly thrive. As a practical therapist, I work with overwhelmed people like you to feel more calm and confident. Using mindfulness, executive functioning skills, identity exploration, and support with boundaries and relationships, we'll develop systems that actually work for your brain and your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I consider myself a practical therapist! I will definitely help you emotionally process and feel understood. I will also help you develop coping tools and strategies that make life feel easier and more manageable. At the end of each session, we will discuss something for you to apply or consider in between our sessions so you practice what we discuss and have the support to improve your skills. We will work together until you gain the confidence to fly on your own!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before our intake session, I will send you paperwork that we will review in our first session. I will ask you relevant questions relating to the concerns and goals you listed on your intake forms. We will set goals and make a plan for our next session. After that, we will typically start each session with a review of your week and our last session. Then we will explore moments of distress or pressing topics that align with your goals. We will talk about coping strategies and any barriers to using them. We will end with a new practice for you to do before our next session, and continue forward!
