I believe individuals should drive their own therapy; I focus on a strengths-based approach centered on empowerment and self-determination. I enjoy working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have 20 years of experience working in mental health, addiction, child welfare, and domestic violence, with a specialization in trauma. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Monmouth University. I utilize treatment modalities such as EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy, while maintaining a trauma-informed approach. Taking the step to seek help can be a big one, and the journey to address what led you to this point can be difficult. I can help guide you on your path by providing a safe, judgment-free environment for you to explore what it is you need to be healthy, happy, and successful.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a laidback approach to therapy - it can be as formal or as relaxed as you need it to be. This is your therapy, your time; you are in the driver's seat, but if you need guidance and structure, I can certainly do that.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I lead the first session, as I like to gather info to get to know you, to see the bigger picture. After that, you are in control - bring in what you need to discuss, be it a long-term concern or something that just came up that morning. We will address what is most pressing at the time for you.
