What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients working with Brittany can expect a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where they are truly seen and heard. She believes therapy should feel safe, empowering, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. From the very first session, Brittany prioritizes building trust and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in respect, openness, and confidentiality. Clients can feel confident that what they share is handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Brittany takes a trauma-informed approach, meaning she moves at the client’s pace and never pushes beyond what feels comfortable or safe. She understands how past experiences can impact emotional regulation, relationships, and daily functioning, and she works to create a space where clients feel secure enough to explore those experiences when they are ready. Her style is warm, empathetic, and engaged, while also being intentional and goal-oriented. Early in the process, Brittany collaborates with clients to identify clear, meaningful goals for therapy. These goals serve as a roadmap, helping guide sessions while still allowing flexibility for real-life challenges and evolving needs. She encourages clients to be active participants in their growth, fostering both insight and practical skill-building. Brittany integrates Psychodynamic principles with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients better understand patterns, process past experiences, and develop tools such as grounding, mindfulness, and thought restructuring. Whether addressing trauma, anxiety, relationship concerns, or dissociation, her approach balances deep exploration with actionable strategies. Clients can expect honesty, compassion, and a steady presence throughout their journey. Brittany’s goal is to help each person feel more in control, more connected to themselves, and more confident in navigating life’s challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Brittany’s process is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. In the first session, she focuses on creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can begin sharing their story at their own pace. She reviews confidentiality, answers any questions about the therapy process, and works to build trust from the start. Together, they begin identifying initial goals—whether that’s reducing anxiety, processing trauma, improving relationships, or gaining a better understanding of patterns and behaviors. Ongoing sessions are guided by those goals while remaining flexible to address what feels most important in the moment. Brittany uses a trauma-informed approach, meaning she prioritizes emotional safety and never rushes the process. Sessions often include a blend of open conversation, insight-building, and practical skill development. Drawing from Psychodynamic therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), she helps clients explore past experiences, understand how those experiences show up in the present, and develop tools such as grounding, mindfulness, and thought restructuring to manage symptoms. A typical session may start with a brief check-in, followed by deeper exploration of current challenges, emotions, or triggers. Brittany collaborates with clients to connect these experiences to underlying patterns while also offering coping strategies that can be applied outside of session. For clients working through trauma or dissociation, she moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable, ensuring clients feel in control throughout the process. Throughout therapy, Brittany regularly revisits goals, tracks progress, and adjusts the approach as needed. Clients can expect a consistent, confidential, and nonjudgmental space where they are supported, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

Before your first appointment, our team will gather and verify your commercial insurance benefits to help you clearly understand your financial responsibility. This includes confirming coverage, eligibility, copay, coinsurance, deductible status, and any authorization requirements. Once verified, we will provide an estimate of your expected cost per session so there are no surprises. Brittany is an LPC-Associate supervised by Kendall Palmer, M.S., LPC-Supervisor. She is able to accept some commercial insurance plans under supervisory billing, and our team will confirm your eligibility prior to your first session. If your insurance is not accepted, Brittany also offers a reduced cash pay rate to help make services more accessible. As a courtesy, we submit claims on your behalf and work directly with your insurance company. We follow your plan’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and will only collect what is determined to be your responsibility. If a claim is processed differently than initially estimated, we will communicate any updates clearly and promptly. We also accept many Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), which may provide a set number of sessions at little to no cost. Our team will verify and help coordinate these benefits when applicable. Our goal is to keep the financial side of therapy simple, transparent, and manageable—so you can focus on your care.
