Brittany Cestone, MSW, LCSW

Psychotherapist
MD
Humans are wired to connect, and my goal as a therapist is to create a supportive alliance with you that is first and foremost based on trust, respect, and understanding. I believe therapy is a unique experience where you can feel safe and supported in exploring yourself, developing new perspectives, building self-compassion, and finding true purpose. Over time, we will work together to overcome barriers, enhance skills, and promote confidence to help you achieve your goals. The most important part of our work is that you get to define what that looks like for you. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome negative beliefs they may have about themselves, others, or the world, especially after trauma or adverse life experiences. My clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) allows me to help individuals identify what is keeping them stuck and find ways to create a new narrative for their lives. In addition to trauma, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, addictions, ADHD, and relationship concerns. I also enjoy drawing from a strengths-based perspective to enhance an individual’s skills and abilities. Additionally, I incorporate mindfulness strategies to support self-regulation of the mind and body and promote self-trust. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique journey.
