Getting to know Brittany Cox

I’m Brittany Cox, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I help women and mothers who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck find their way back to balance. Whether you’re navigating postpartum anxiety, relationship stress, or major life changes, I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can process what you’re going through and learn practical tools to feel more in control. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT, helping you move from survival mode to feeling more present, confident, and supported in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and supportive experience. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and never judged. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—my role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and guide you toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate and practical. I use evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while also focusing on nervous system regulation, helping you understand not just your thoughts, but how your body responds to stress and overwhelm. You can expect our sessions to feel both validating and goal-oriented. We will explore patterns, build coping skills, and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, motherhood challenges, or relationship stress, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is really about you—your story, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will feel different in your life. There’s no pressure to have the “right” words or to share everything at once. We move at your pace. After that, our sessions become a mix of talking things through and building tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. We’ll work on understanding your anxiety, managing overwhelming thoughts, improving relationships, and helping you feel more like yourself again. You can expect a balance of support and guidance—I’ll listen, but I’ll also help you connect patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and develop strategies that create real change outside of therapy.
