Getting to know Brittany Jesernik

I have over a decade of experience as a social worker and hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Saint Francis. Your care is about you and your goals. I am here to help you process your struggles and provide tools to improve your quality of life. I am committed to you, and together there is nothing we can't accomplish. My goal is to help you be a better you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is not meant to be "one size fits all." I approach every client with dignity and respect, as you know yourself better than anyone else. I focus on your strengths, and actively listen and process your needs with you. I am not afraid to have difficult conversations, nor help to process any challenges or events that have negatively impacted your life. This space is intended to be a safe and nonjudgmental place for you to explore, question, and process who you are and give you the resources, support, and healthy coping strategies to promote your best quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The sessions are 55 minutes long and are about the current needs you are facing in your life. The initial assessment/meeting is to get to know you and to assess your strengths, family systems, and current presenting concern(s)/need(s). I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis, and the client and I would work together to set up a schedule for future sessions.

Initial session: $100 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $100-125 for 55 minutes

More information on payments and coverage

I ask for client's to complete intake paperwork that includes the client's insurance policy information, in order the check benefits prior to the first session. This will allow me to obtain information regarding copays and insurance coverage. With the client's permission, I am able to set up a credit card to charge for session copays. I am responsible for submitting the information to the insurance for billing and can be available if there are any concerns that come up regarding insurance inquiries. I am also opened to discussing a private pay rate/sliding scale for those who are not using insurance or are out of network.
