“I'm so happy that I got assigned a therapist who not only understands PMDD, but who also goes through it herself. These sessions have been so beneficial for me lately, and I feel like we're finally getting down to the nitty gritty which is scary, but much needed. I didn’t really know that I wanted an ADHD diagnosis, but here we are and it makes me feel better knowing that's what my brain is going through. She makes sure I am okay when we talk about something heavy at the end. She is understanding and kind. I look forward to my talks with her!”

Getting to know Brittany Ketchem
I have worked in the human services field since 2011. Initially, I held various roles such as Behavioral Health Technician, Social Work Assistant, and Case Manager. I began my counseling journey in 2018, working with clients who have substance use disorders, trauma, and sometimes other co-occurring mental health diagnoses. My passion for helping others inspired me to pursue graduate school, where I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Marywood University.
Some of the modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Mindfulness techniques. I always apply a Person-Centered approach. I work with adults, adolescents, and persons over the age of 65.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
I will meet you where you're at. Typically, we take the first few sessions to talk about some of the things that brought you to our session. We will also review at least one coping strategy to help in between our sessions. Additionally, I will email you relevant articles, worksheets, or exercises to do in between our sessions. They will reinforce what we do in sessions.
