Getting to know Brittany Kingston

**I do not accept insurance at this time** Brittany Kingston is supervised by Stacy Deneen McCarty-Nash. There are many reasons you may have found yourself searching for the right therapist to help you through a difficult time. You are likely feeling a flood of emotions as you decide whom you will share the most vulnerable parts of yourself and your life with. Life is not always easy, and neither are relationships. As humans, we can find comfort in knowing that we have all experienced struggles. I strive to help my clients feel they are not alone in what they are going through and that there is hope for a better future. Whether you are facing a difficult time, experiencing conflict in your relationship, or simply feeling stuck and unsure how to handle life, I am here to help you navigate that. The environment I seek to create is non-judgmental-somewhere you feel accepted and heard. I understand how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. Most people want to know a little more about someone before opening up, which is completely understandable-I would, too. I earned my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. I began my career on the research side, working in labs studying both couples and recovering addicts. After completing my bachelor's, I earned my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. When I'm not seeing clients, I love spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and enjoying any kind of live music.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I tailor my treatment modalities and methods to each of my clients and couples that I am working with because I understand that everyone has different therapy needs. I also understand that what works for one person, might not work for another and I want everyone to get what they need! What will be consistent across every session though is my commitment to making my office a safe space.
