As the founder and Clinical Director of Anchor Point Behavioral Health, my work is centered on supporting women through the many transitions and complexities that unfold across the lifespan. Women often carry enormous emotional, relational, and mental loads—balancing careers, relationships, motherhood, caregiving, identity shifts, and the invisible expectations placed upon them by society. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where women can slow down, feel deeply understood, and begin to reconnect with themselves. I specialize in women’s mental health with a particular focus on the perinatal and postpartum period, anxiety disorders, neurodivergence such as ADHD/AuDHD, and the lasting impact of trauma. Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, insightful individuals who appear to have everything together on the outside while quietly struggling internally with overwhelm, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. Therapy offers a place to unpack those experiences and develop a more compassionate and sustainable way of moving through life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and evidence-based. I draw from modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment-focused work, and neuroaffirming approaches. I believe therapy should feel both grounded in research and deeply human—where insight, practical tools, and emotional processing come together. Across every stage of life—from young adulthood to motherhood, career transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and personal reinvention—women deserve care that honors the full complexity of their experiences. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions, curious enough to examine long-standing patterns, and empowered enough to move toward meaningful change. At Anchor Point Behavioral Health, the goal is not perfection. It is helping you find steadiness again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and many people arrive unsure of what to expect. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely understood from the very first session. Clients often describe my style as warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership—where we work together to better understand your experiences, patterns, and goals. In our work together, you can expect both compassionate listening and meaningful direction. I value creating room for reflection and emotional processing, while also helping clients develop practical tools and insights they can apply in their daily lives. Therapy with me is not about judgment or quick fixes—it’s about thoughtful exploration, increased self-awareness, and building lasting change over time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to make the therapy process feel clear, supportive, and thoughtfully structured from the very beginning. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the initial process approachable and informative. For prospective clients who would like to learn more before committing to a full appointment, I offer a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. This brief conversation allows us to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have about my approach, and determine whether we feel like a good fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, the next step is a 75-minute intake session. This extended first appointment gives us time to explore your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy in a thoughtful and comprehensive way. During the intake process, I utilize measurement-based care assessments, which are evidence-based screening tools that help us better understand symptoms related to areas such as anxiety, mood, trauma, and attention. These assessments provide useful insight into where you are starting and help guide treatment planning in a more structured, data-informed way. Following the intake, most clients transition into ongoing weekly therapy sessions, typically lasting 45–50 minutes. Regular weekly sessions create consistency and momentum, allowing us to build a strong therapeutic relationship while making steady progress toward your goals. Each session is collaborative and tailored to your needs. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or exploring patterns that have developed over time, while others may emphasize practical strategies for managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, improving relationships, or strengthening coping skills.
