What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is a combination of warmth, validation, and nonjudgemental understanding with offering concrete tools and strategies to make the changes that you want to see in your life. My background is in behavioral therapies such as DBT, CBT, and ACT. At the same time, I believe in allowing the process to unfold and to meet people where they are at.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I have experience as a DBT and EMDR therapist. Mindfulness is the foundation of all that I do in my practice. I am passionate about working with depression, anxiety, and PTSD because of my own lived experience. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we will decide how structured vs. how open you would like therapy to be. Some people like to have concrete goals for every session, and some people like to come into session without a goal, and see what unfolds. I think my overall approach is that we won't only talk about how you feel, we will also do something about it.
