Brittany Murphy, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi, I'm Brittany Murphy, LCSW, LCDC, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I am licensed to practice social work in both Colorado and Texas. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston. Prior to becoming a therapist and social worker, I worked in the corporate business world for several years and hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I provide individual and family therapy and also enjoy running psychotherapy and skills classes. I use various approaches including psychodynamic theory, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My clients can expect me to empower and support them by helping them better understand themselves and their behavior, creating a safe space to process, work through, and heal trauma, enhancing knowledge and use of evidence-based tools for healthier coping, and allowing space to explore, identify, and apply solutions for current problems. I'm passionate about creating positive change and helping people get through tough times. If that sounds appealing to you, please feel free to reach out.
