Getting to know Brittany Murphy

I have experience working with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I provide individual and family therapy, and I also enjoy running psychotherapy and skills classes. I use various approaches including psychodynamic theory, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT); Radically Open Dialectal Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM); Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT); and Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT). My clients can expect me to work to empower and support them by aiding them in better understanding themselves and their behavior, creating a safe space for them to process, work through, and heal trauma, enhancing knowledge and understanding of evidence-based tools for healthier coping, and allowing space for the exploration, identification, and application of solutions for current problems.
