Brittany Shick, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
Hi there! I am a biracial woman who was raised by my immigrant mother and military veteran father. Counseling has been a calling for me from a young age, which my own life experiences strengthened. I am a married and have one daughter. My practice is guided not only by my professional ethics, but my own personal moral guide. My morals align with equity and equality for all, dignity and respect of all, cultural humility, love is love, and prioritizing human rights - to name a few. My undergraduate degree is a double major in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, and my master's degree is in Clinical Social Work. I have spent my career serving underserved populations across all levels of care (crisis unit, residential care, intensive outpatient care, outpatient care). My experience is primarily with behavioral and emotional disorders, trauma and substance use disorder. Most recently I spent 3 years working for the VA with veterans, service members and their families. Prior to this I worked in the community treating substance use disorder in adults, and behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adolescents. I specialize in treating anxiety and panic disorders, and their co-occurring disorders.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
