Brittany Sturgeon, LPC

Psychotherapist
208 Racquette Dr, Fort Collins, CO
Brittany Sturgeon, ADDC, LPCC, LBA (BCBA) Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Brittany is no stranger to the idea of mental health being taboo. Growing up, she did a bit of everything—from sports and gardening to welding and construction. She even helped teach art at a local grade school and build a house! After graduating high school, Brittany moved to Fort Collins where she started college. A few months later, still not feeling like she knew what she wanted to do, she dropped out. Years later, after a lot of searching and growing, Brittany attended Front Range Community College, where she earned an associate degree. Right after, she returned to Colorado State University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2020 and her Master of Addiction Counseling in Psychology (MACP) degree in 2022. During that time, Brittany worked at an inpatient mental health facility, along with working in restaurants for as long as she can remember. Brittany welcomes clients of most any age with a wide range of needs and concerns. Her specialty areas include, but are not limited to, alcohol and substance use issues, depression, anxiety, relational and family issues, struggles with school and/or work, behavioral challenges, and difficulties with aggression. Her approach to counseling is tailored to each client and can vary from session to session depending on their needs. As a clinician, Brittany strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being open and expressing themselves. She has put great effort into creating an office space that is calming and down to earth. Knowing that therapy has historically felt impersonal, Brittany is working to change that. She strongly views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership aimed at helping you, the client, gain the knowledge and strength needed to grow and thrive. No issue is too big or too small to talk about.
