Psychotherapist
27201 Puerta Real, Suite #300, Mission Viejo, CA
Having witnessed traumas from my own life, I know what it feels like to experience both hurt and healing. I have always loved working with teens and adults and strive to meet them right where they are. Since college—over 15 years ago—I have worked closely with people through private practices, group practices, churches, rehab centers, camps, and conferences. I have training and skills to comfortably work with teens, allowing me to connect with them in a very authentic way. I have extensive experience using CBT and EMDR methods and expertise in anxiety, relationship issues, and traumatic experiences that need to be worked through. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in youth ministry at a 17,000-member church in Newport Beach, CA, where I fell in love with working with people. I wanted to contribute to their lives in an even deeper way—not only through ministry but also through professional counseling in a one-on-one setting. It has been deeply enriching ever since. I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support those facing hardships. I am trained to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help clients embrace the fullness of who they are by quickly identifying beliefs that no longer serve them. I engage through listening, intentional attunement, curiosity, and empathy to support this work. I also have extensive experience treating addictive symptoms and tendencies, with specific expertise in alcohol and drug addiction. I specialize in working with adults (18+) and teens (13+) seeking help for symptoms of stress, anxiety, women’s issues, difficult life changes and transitions, and trauma. My approach includes attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and evidence-based interventions. I believe therapy supports the process of becoming holistically integrated through the body, mind, heart, and spirit.
