Getting to know Brittiny Brown
Hello! I attended Prairie View A&M University for my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and then stayed to earn my Master of Arts in Counseling by 2016.
After graduating, I began working as an Academic Advisor at a university, where I enjoyed helping young adults navigate college. I eventually transitioned into working as a therapist at an outpatient treatment center, focusing on group work and individual therapy. From there, I moved on to work at a juvenile detention center, supporting misunderstood youth. After the pandemic, I made my final transition to become a telehealth therapist, helping patients receive therapy from the comfort of their own homes.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My ideal client struggles with anxiety, depression, and difficult life adjustments. I enjoy helping patients reach their full potential and helping them navigate through life, especially during difficult times.I believe in achieving high-quality work as a therapist, which means meeting an individual where they are. This looks like listening to someone, without judgment, to understand/analyze their wants and needs. This also means understanding where they are on their journey and trying to find ways in which I can assist them in reaching their goals.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
