What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy is a big step, and I want to make sure you feel supported every step of the way. From the moment we begin working together, l focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you can truly be yourself. My approach is collaborative, and I see therapy as a partnership where we’ll work together to understand what’s going on for you and identify how we can make meaningful changes. In our sessions, I listen with empathy and respect, drawing from a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you explore your emotions and gain deeper insight. One of the approaches I use is Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is based on the idea that each of us has different "parts" or aspects of ourselves, that shape how we respond to life. These parts often develop to protect us from difficult emotions or past pain, but sometimes they can create inner conflict or hold us back. IFS helps us understand and heal these parts so that you can feel more balanced and connected to your true self. I also incorporate mindfulness and expressive arts techniques to help you feel more grounded and in touch with your emotions. My goal is to empower you to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and self-awareness, leaving each session feeling more aligned with who you are. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking greater clarity, I’m here to support you on your journey of healing and growth. You don’t have to do this alone—together, we’ll take the steps you need to create lasting change and a more fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In a typical session with me, you can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable sharing what’s on your mind. Our time together is focused on helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, with the goal of gaining insight and making meaningful progress. During our first few sessions, we’ll spend time building a strong foundation of trust and understanding. I’ll ask about your current challenges, past experiences, and what brought you to therapy. This is a time for you to share your story at your own pace, and for us to identify what you hope to achieve through our work together. Sessions are typically weekly, providing consistent support as you move through the challenges you’re facing. Each session will leave you with something to take away—whether it’s a new perspective, a deeper understanding of yourself, or practical tools to navigate your daily life with more confidence and self-awareness. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
