Brooke Denniston, LPC

Brooke Denniston, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
For the past five years, I have been working with a wide range of mental health struggles, including schizophrenia, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, family tensions, identity struggles, trauma, and more. I love working with people to overcome, adapt, grow, and change. I currently specialize in anxiety and depression, perinatal and postpartum issues, relationship struggles, and life transitions, but continue to work with those facing many other mental health concerns as well. I see individuals, couples, and families. I'm dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and seen. In our sessions, we will explore whatever may be bringing you in at your pace, in a way that fits your personality, experience, and strengths. I take a very collaborative approach to help you achieve your goals. I often use humor in session, and my clients typically find me down to earth, approachable, and direct. I'm not the kind of therapist who sits in silence. I am also not the expert on your life, and I won't pretend to be. However, I do have training, credentials, and experience to partner with you in your counseling journey. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. I use multiple modalities during our work together depending on your strengths and needs. Some of these include IFS (Internal Family Systems), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), family systems, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), attachment-based therapy, and others. We will focus on exploring underlying beliefs that direct behavior and decision-making, work through unhelpful patterns that may be causing pain within yourself or relationships (individually or through couples/family counseling), and practice and implement skills and insights to bring tangible, positive change to your life.
