Psychotherapist
SC
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience helping adults calm their minds, regulate their bodies, and rebuild a sense of control. My approach is structured but warm—focused on practical strategies that actually work in real life. I specialize in evidence-based therapies for insomnia, chronic pain, stress, and burnout. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals or caregivers who appear steady on the outside but feel exhausted, disconnected, or “stuck in overdrive.” My work blends trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and mind-body approaches to restore calm, clarity, and rest. Every session is collaborative and paced to feel safe and sustainable. My goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your nervous system—and teach you the tools to change it. Our First Session: The first session is a chance for us to slow things down and get a clear picture of what’s been happening in your life—what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to change. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. My job is to guide the process and help you start connecting the dots between your stress, sleep, mood, and physical tension. We’ll begin by reviewing your goals, current symptoms, and any patterns you’ve noticed. I’ll explain how I use trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and mind-body methods so you know exactly what to expect. Most clients describe the first session as calm, structured, and surprisingly relieving—it’s often the first time someone helps them make sense of what’s been happening inside both their mind and body. You’ll leave the session with an initial plan and a few simple tools to begin practicing between meetings. Each step builds on the last, helping you feel more settled, confident, and equipped to manage stress and sleep.
