Getting to know Bryanna Tartt

Hi, I’m Bryanna Tartt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor specializing in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). I help individuals break free from unhelpful thought patterns, regulate overwhelming emotions, and live more fulfilling lives—without pretending everything is fine when it’s not. I work best with individuals who are ready to take an honest look at their beliefs and reactions and want to build real emotional discipline. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, addiction, or people-pleasing, our work together will focus on helping you recognize your worth, challenge self-defeating beliefs, and strengthen your ability to respond—not react. If you're tired of just venting and ready to learn concrete skills to manage your emotions and behavior, I’m here to help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m direct, compassionate, and solution-focused. I won’t just nod and ask how that makes you feel—I’ll help you understand why you feel the way you do and how to change it. I use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), which means we’ll work on identifying the beliefs that lead to emotional distress, then challenge and replace them with healthier ways of thinking. You’ll leave sessions with tools to use in real life—not just insights. Expect homework, accountability, and a safe space where you can be honest without judgment. My goal is to help you build emotional discipline, not emotional avoidance.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a comprehensive intake session to explore your concerns, history, and goals. I then create a personalized treatment plan grounded in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Throughout our work together, we’ll use tools like the ABC model to examine how your beliefs shape your emotions and behavior—and how to challenge what’s no longer working for you. I take a structured, active approach: sessions may include whiteboard breakdowns to visually map out your thought patterns, as well as book discussions and REBT-based worksheets to deepen your understanding. You’ll be encouraged to complete brief homework assignments to help reinforce the skills we cover and apply them to real-life situations. I value collaboration, transparency, and accountability. You’ll always know what we’re working on and why, with a focus on building emotional discipline—not just emotional relief.
