Byron Groseclose, LMFT

Psychotherapist
WA
I work with my clients and do not have them work for me. I help my clients to get through the hardest parts of their life as well as celebrate with them as they succeed. I got my Master's Degree In Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University. My approach My approach to therapy is client-focused. I believe that the client is the expert in their own life. I believe my role is to be a coach and a guide. I help my clients to become empowered to overcome the obstacles in their lives. I use many different modalities with my clients, believing that each client needs their own specialized treatment. My focus My ideal client is you. I have experience working with all walks of life and all ethnicities. I enjoy working with couples and individuals. Clients can come in with issues stemming from stress and anxiety all the way to infidelity and betrayal, I will stay comfortable. My communication style I like to remain in a calm state during the session. I believe that there are times when the clients need to borrow from my energy in order to center themself. Even though I like to remain calm and level-headed, I still like to joke and be light-hearted with my clients. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to help people. I feel as though that is the best and easiest way to explain why I became a therapist. I believe there is a great strength that comes through talking about and overcoming the problems that try to overtake your life. My goals for you I like to help my client reach the finish line rather than pull them across. I believe that therapy is collaborative, so as the client succeeds, I can succeed. I want to help my clients by establishing clear goals and measurable objectives along the way. My first session with you The first session with me is comparable to a first date with a potential partner. I believe in keeping the first session light. It is more about getting to know each other than getting to know the issues.
