Clinically, I've worked as mental health counselor in private practice, a group practice, and non-profit clinical settings for seven years. In addition, I've worked as a high school counselor and re-engagement specialist for 10 years. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC) specializing in teen and young adult care, I offer a vital lifeline for students who have fallen through the cracks. I pride myself in my ability to create a strong therapeutic alignment with clients and being a much-needed source of support and guidance for concerned parents. What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in teen and young adult re-engagement counseling. Re-engagement counseling is a supportive, therapeutic process that helps adolescents and young adults who have disengaged from school, social activities, or future planning reconnect with their goals, build motivation, and develop the skills they need to move forward confidentially. Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) & Motivational Interviewing (MI) are powerful tools I like to use together. SFBT helps young people envision a better future and identify steps they can take to achieve their goals, fostering a sense of hope and agency. MI is collaborative & goal-oriented.. It is particularly effective because helps young people explore their own reasons for change.
