Psychotherapist
RI
Hi there, I'm Cait! Therapy doesn’t have to feel formal or intimidating. I’m a pretty down-to-earth therapist, and I want our work to feel like a real conversation—not a script. I help adults work through anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem, life changes, and other challenges, with a practical approach and plenty of room for humor along the way. My focus I work with adults navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem, relationships, life transitions, and patterns they’re ready to change. You don’t need to come in with a diagnosis or have everything figured out. We can start with what’s bothering you and work from there. My approach I tend to be a practical, problem-solving therapist. I like to understand what’s behind a problem and then figure out what we can actually do about it. I use CBT, ACT, and DBT strategies when they’re useful, but I’ll tailor our work to you. We’ll work on making changes while also learning to be a little kinder to yourself. My communication style I’m warm, conversational, straightforward, and nonjudgmental. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself with me. I’ll listen and take you seriously, but I won’t just nod along. Sometimes you need empathy, sometimes a different perspective, and sometimes you just need to laugh about something that’s been weighing on you. My journey to mental healthcare My background in both law and mental health has shaped how I think about people and problems. I’ve always liked figuring out complicated situations and helping people find a way forward. What keeps me passionate about therapy is seeing someone recognize their own strengths, build confidence, and realize they’re more capable than they thought.
