Getting to know Caitlin Battell

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and congratulations on your first step toward finding a therapist who's right for you! My background is in trauma therapy, attachment-focused, person-centered, and cultural/relational models. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Edward's University and a Bachelor's from South University, Austin. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the military and love working with women vets, LGBTQ+ veterans, and folks in general. I have a strong foundation in working with complex trauma and survivors of assault and intimate partner violence. I operate from an inclusive and anti-racist lens and work as a practitioner of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) with kiddo clients, as well as Internal Family Systems and Somatic Embodiment practices to help clients integrate their systems after trauma. My dog and cat are usually in the room, as I exclusively offer telehealth at this time. If that sounds like a good fit, please reach out, and we will schedule a free 15-minute conversation!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Trauma often happens quickly & without control, so recovery should be gradual & with lots of check-ins on how our sessions are going. I also offer body based exercises & grounding & psychoeducation throughout work.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
