Throughout our lives, we face various stressors that impact each individual differently. Having a safe space for support can be beneficial so we don’t have to face challenges alone. I utilize a holistic approach to understand the person beyond their presenting issues, helping individuals navigate and find meaning in life experiences. I value the counseling relationship as a therapeutic tool for change, emphasizing a respectful and safe environment. This allows clients to self-reflect and process emotions compassionately and nonjudgmentally, gaining insight on their own terms. I appreciate the vulnerability of therapy and meet clients where they are in comfort and readiness for change. I support clients in building upon their strengths and resiliencies to empower them to cope with and overcome life’s challenges. I use a combined treatment approach tailored to each client’s needs to achieve goals. I integrate therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, and Existential therapy for a person-centered approach. I believe clients are experts on their lives and provide appropriate care through meaningful, collaborative treatment planning. Before joining Clarity Clinic, I worked with diverse clients including adolescents, adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities at a community mental health center. I have experience with depression, mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, life transitions, career counseling, grief and loss, Borderline Personality Disorder, interpersonal issues, behavioral disorders, and LGBTQIA+ specific concerns. I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective, compassionate care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
