Greetings! My name is Calvin Ponds, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Troy University. I work with clients statewide in Florida via Telehealth and will offer in-person sessions starting in 2025. I work well with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I specialize in the treatment of first responders experiencing work-related trauma, vicarious trauma, occupational distress, EAP compassion fatigue, burnout, PTSD, depression, stress, and anger management. I use Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and emotionally focused Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy to help patients on their healing journey.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
