I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a dedicated social work educator with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University obtained in 2004. I am also a certified Master Addiction Counselor which includes chemical and behavioral addictions. My areas of expertise are substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and various life transitions. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, relaxed, and non-directive using evidence-based techniques, such as, cognitive behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered therapy, Mindfulness strategies, and aspects of Polyvagal techniques to foster healing and growth. Moreover, my ongoing commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care drives my passion for helping individuals and families achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. Overall, I believe that my purpose and strength is my dedication to creating a safe environment that fosters the healing and growth of the people I serve.

In our first session, we will discuss your goals and work together to create a treatment plan that outlines the steps you will take to achieve those goals. - Try to be open and honest with me about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
