Often, my clients come to me when they are at the point that the issues and struggles they face are having a big affect on their lives; they struggle to see a way forward. You may have tried to fix things on your own and have been left feeling exhausted, lost, and lonely. There is still hope for you! Sometimes, the problem isn’t just the problem; it’s our approach to it. We can get so wrapped up in running away from our struggles that we miss what we need to run towards: You don’t just need to not be anxious; you need to learn to find peace. You don’t just need to not be depressed; you need help finding true hope. You don’t just need to not be in unhealthy relationships; you need to learn your worth. You don’t just need to “get over” your loss; you need tools to grieve so that your heart can heal. I help my clients build the life they yearn for using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, as well as a variety of other modalities, while remaining rooted in Christ-focused values. I am honored to have the privilege to speak into the lives of my clients and walk with them on their healing journey. A part of my professional experience that I value is working with families who have experienced the pain of infertility and/or miscarriage. I was born and raised in New Jersey as a first generation American of Caribbean parents, earned my degrees and began my counseling career seeing women and teens in Pennsylvania, and I am so excited to be a part of the Cornerstone Counseling team in beautiful sunny South Florida! Outside of the office I love spending time with my husband, going for walks with our dog, and attending barre classes.
