Candice Cruse, LCSW

Psychotherapist

Have you tried therapy before and walked away feeling misunderstood? Have you worried that you wouldn't be able to share everything about yourself in session, fearing judgment? When we don't fit the norms around us, it's easy for anxiety and depression to wreak havoc on our mental health and self-esteem, making it harder to feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable. Having struggled with alienation myself, I've gravitated toward helping people who experience this too. Although anyone can go through this, I often support those who are neurodiverse, LGBQTA+, ethically nonmonogamous, people with ?alternative? faiths, and teens. In addition to supporting specific identities, I help people reduce stress and anxiety, adjust to uncomfortable changes, climb out of depression, and build the confidence, insight, and judgment they need to improve themselves and impact their lives. I pride myself on creating a safe, comfortable environment where you can express yourself freely, so we both learn more about who you are and what you need. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, which informs my compassionate and informed approach to therapy. Whether we work together or not, I'm really glad you're taking the time to consider therapy and care for yourself.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
