Psychotherapist
FL
I am a mental health therapist with a decade of experience as a school counselor. My warm and compassionate approach fosters an energetic environment where my clients feel truly heard and supported. Creating a safe space for open dialogue is essential to my practice. I graduated from Troy State University with a degree in Counseling and Psychology. During my studies, I had the privilege of receiving supervision under well-trained therapists, which deepened my understanding of mental health. I have a passion for helping all individuals, regardless of their race or creed. My practice primarily utilizes talk therapy and a solution-focused modality to empower my clients in their journeys. My approach to therapy is rooted in humility and a non-judgmental stance. I firmly believe that everyone is valuable, regardless of their circumstances. I strive to create a warm and compassionate environment where clients feel encouraged and supported as we work together toward their goals. I became a therapist because of my love for helping people and my passion for mental health. My personal connection to this field stems from my mother's struggles with mental health issues; I was the one in my family who truly understood her challenges. This experience has fueled my commitment to support others facing similar struggles. Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, and spending quality time with my family. A fun fact about me is that I speak a couple of Ghanaian languages. Additionally, during the COVID-19 shutdown, I had a memorable moment when I won a soccer match against my kids! I am looking forward to building connections and supporting each person on their journey. Together, we can explore personal growth and well-being paths, ensuring that each one of my client feels valued and understood.
