Hello there, I'm Candis.
Has life taken a turn? Or maybe you have become overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety, depression, or are looking to strengthen your relationship with your significant other.
I have had the honor of working with adults, Veterans, caregivers, couples, and youth who have faced difficulties with life's stressors, relationships, trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other concerns. I empower motivated individuals from a strengths-based perspective.
I enjoy using mindfulness skills as a helpful tool to look at the mind, body, and spirit to enhance the evidence-based practices I work from. I'll meet you with a warm, empathetic, client-centered therapeutic approach. Seeking professional counseling is a huge step! I look forward to the opportunity to support and empower you on this path for change.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Florida, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate and effective care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Within our first session I take the time to get to know you and your view of the problem that brings you to therapy at this time. From here we work collaboratively to come up with your therapeutic goals and you choose the therapeutic tool that you believe falls in line to assist you to reach your current goals. You can expect homework assignments to be assigned at the end of our sessions to help build on the skills introduced during your time working with me in therapy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
