Some people know from day one what they want to do with their lives. That wasn’t me. I just kept paying attention, to what people said when they were hurting, to the way silence can say a lot, and to how often folks feel like they have to hide parts of themselves just to make it through. I became a therapist because I wanted to be someone people could talk to without feeling like they had to perform or explain too much. I have experience working with individuals, especially adults navigating stress, identity, anxiety, or grief. I often work with people who feel burnt out, like they’re holding everything together for everyone else, but feel unseen or overwhelmed underneath. I pull from a few different approaches depending on what fits you best, whether that’s cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, or just having an honest conversation that doesn’t follow a script. Sessions with me are collaborative. I’ll offer questions and reflections, but never pressure. You won’t be handed a worksheet unless you ask for one. Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or overly clinical. It can be a space where you speak freely, laugh if you need to, and tell the truth about how tired you are. My style is grounded, present, and real. I'm not here to fix you, because you’re not broken, but to help you figure out what you need, and how to start moving in that direction. Outside of sessions, I’m probably listening to music, trying to perfect a breakfast sandwich, or walking while overthinking something in the best possible way. I believe in slow mornings, honest conversations, and saying “no” without a long explanation. If you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, I’d be honored to sit with you in it, and help you sort through it at your own pace.
